EXPERIENCE PEACE IN A CAPITAL CITYBased in London? Got a spare few hours? Then why not experience the wonders of the River Thames. The section between Putney and Richmond boasts some fantastic sights including Hammersmith suspension bridge, the London Wetlands Centre, Kew Gardens and, for football fans, Fulham FC's stadium. Lined along the route are a number of river islands including Olivers, Brentford, Lots and Corporation to navigate around. There are also plenty of places lining the route to stop for refreshments along the way.
This stretch of the Thames can be a hive of activity with rowers, other paddleboarders and leisure cruises but with the Thames having a good width throughout there is plenty of space for all to enjoy the water. |
